Application and precautions of plasma cutting torch


1 oil injection: close the oil outlet valve and air inlet valve on the oil storage tank. Fill the tank with gasoline (No. 1) through the filler, and then tighten the oil cap. When refueling, do not overfill, leave a certain space, and pay attention to safety

2 installing the cutting nozzle: select the appropriate cutting torch and cutting nozzle according to the thickness of the steel plate being cut. When installing the cutting nozzle, the conical surface of the matching angle should be wiped clean, and the nut should be tightened

3 connect oxygen: connect the oxygen cylinder with the oxygen pipe connector on the cutting torch with a special oxygen pipe, open the main valve on the oxygen cylinder to speed up the market, and adjust the pressure reducer

4 check the injection and suction performance of the cutting torch: close the cutting oxygen valve of the cutting torch. Open the preheating oxygen valve and gasoline regulating valve, and touch the thumb belly with the inlet of the gasoline intake connector. If you feel a suction force at this time, it will also decrease to a certain extent. If the cost exists, it indicates that the cutting torch has normal injection and suction performance and can be used. If there is no suction or even gas overflowing from the gasoline inlet joint, it indicates that the cutting torch has potential safety hazards and can only be used after maintenance and troubleshooting

5 connect the oil pipe: connect the oil outlet on the oil storage tank with the gasoline hose connector on the cutting torch with a special oil resistant and pressure resistant hose, and clamp it tightly with a special pipe clamp (the oil outlet of the oil storage tank reacts quickly. If it is with a screw, tighten the nuts at both ends of the oil pipe. Note that both the oil outlet end of the oil storage tank and the gasoline connector end of the cutting torch are left threads.)

6 open the oil valve: unscrew the oil outlet valve on the oil storage tank. The valve should be open during operation

7 open the air inlet valve: open the air inlet valve of the oil tank to connect the tank with the atmosphere

ignition use:

1 open the preheating oxygen regulating valve on the cutting torch to give a small amount of oxygen

2 (method a:) put an open fire on the cutting nozzle and slowly unscrew the gasoline valve to supply oil until it is ignited; Then adjust the preheating flame as required. (method b:) slowly unscrew the gasoline regulating valve, see that the gasoline is sprayed in a fog, and adjust the oil mist flow to an appropriate amount, and then ignite it with an open fire. Then adjust the preheating flame as required

3 preheating and cutting: the same as acetylene cutting torch

4 when flameout, the gasoline valve should be closed first, and then the preheating oxygen valve should be closed

5 be sure to close the oil outlet valve, air inlet valve and oxygen cylinder valve of the oil storage tank in time after the work is completed

6 in use, if the cutting torch is produced, the Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences (evaluation institution) must stop using immediately when oxygen enters the oil storage tank due to the environmental impact assessment of the "310000 ton/year TDI technical transformation and capacity expansion project of Bayer Material Technology (China) Co., Ltd." commissioned by Bayer Material Technology (China) Co., Ltd. (the construction unit) or improper operation, It can be used only after the oxygen trapped in the oil storage tank and gasoline pipeline system is completely eliminated

maintenance of plasma cutting torch

1 Assemble the cutting torch correctly

2. The consumable parts should be replaced in time before they are completely damaged

3. Clean the connecting thread of the cutting torch

4. Clean the contact surface between electrode and nozzle

5. Check the gas and cooling gas every day

6. Avoid cutting torch collision damage

7. The most common causes of cutting torch damage:

(1) cutting torch collision

(2) destructive plasma arc caused by damage to consumer parts

(3) destructive plasma arc caused by dirt

(4) destructive plasma arc caused by loose parts


(1) do not apply grease on the cutting torch

(2) do not overuse the lubricant of O-ring

(3) do not spray splash proof chemicals when the protective shell is still on the cutting torch

(4) do not use a manual cutting torch as a hammer
